Fifi and Dylan’s recovery
Donation protected
In July last year I made heartbreaking decision to rehome Fifi and Dylan at a rescue centre. I thought this was in the best interests of the ponies and although a hard decision I thought it waste right one.
Fifi has dwarfism and her joints are getting worse, I was worried about Dylan being lonely when her time came. The rescue had lots of other Shetlands so Dylan would never be lonely.
Sadly on a visit to the ponies over Christmas I was concerned about the lack of bedding they had . I asked numerous times to take bedding for them but it didn’t happen.
I asked for my ponies back and they agreed to release them if I paid £300 to cover a vet bill Dylan had. I felt this was fair and paid the money. When the ponies arrived home I cannot express my heartbreak at the condition they were in. They were riddled with lice, bare patches and sores, underweight, subdued, feet not trimmed.
the rescue had not catered for the basic care of these ponies and as a result caused unnecessary suffering.
I did not want to set up this page but have been urged to by many people so I can get help with the costs involved in their recovery.
costs already - £300 to the rescue,£50 transport, an emergency vet on Sunday, lice treatment , worm treatment , farrier, new rugs (as nothing I sent with them was returned ) Fifi will need X-rays on her joints to see if the conditions they have been living in has worsened them.
i could also be looking at legal fees.
if you do feel you would like to help with ponies recovery, it would be amazing.
the stress of the situation and awful things being said about me is really taking its toll on my health , but my main focus is getting my ponies better x
