Fietsen voor de Veluwe

Hoi, ik ben Camille!

Ik droom van een wereld die in balans is. Een wereld waarin we niet alleen maar nemen, maar net zoveel teruggeven. Met natuurgebieden over de hele wereld die het zwaar hebben en een biodiversiteit die hard achteruit gaat is dat duidelijk niet het geval, dus tijd om in actie te komen!

Ik nam ontslag, zei mijn huur op en pakte mijn fiets. Zo begon mijn fietstocht van meer dan 10.000 km door Europa om daarmee €10.000 op te halen.  

Met het opgehaalde geld zal het herstel van een stukje van de Veluwe ondersteund worden. Hekken worden weggehaald voor meer bewegingsruimte voor dieren, en een productiebos wordt omgevormd tot een normaal bos met veel meer biodiversiteit. 

Dit doe ik niet zelf, maar samen met ARK Natuurontwikkeling. Zij hebben tientallen jaren ervaring met dit soort projecten en delen hetzelfde enthousiasme en doorzettingsvermogen dat ik voor deze reis nodig heb! Alles wat met deze actie wordt opgehaald komt als bonus bij het project op de Veluwe binnen. Er is geen post ´fietsactie Camille´ op de begroting, en dus kan elke euro besteed worden aan datgene waar ik me voor inzet! 

Daarnaast zorgt elke donatie niet alleen voor een mooiere en gezondere Veluwe, maar helpt mij mentaal ook om door weer en wind de eindstreep te halen!

 Hi, I'm Camille!

I dream of a world in balance. A world where we don´t just take, but return just as much. With nature reserves struggling for survival all over the world and a biodiversity dropping at a rapid rate this is clearly not the case. So, it´s time to take action!

I quit my job, cancelled my rent and jumped on my bicycle. This marked the start of a 10,000 kilometer tour through Europe to raise €10,000.

The collected money will be used to support the restoration of the Veluwe, the largest forested area in the Netherlands. Fences will be removed to create a larger habitat for animals, and a production forest will be restored to a normal forest with much more biodiversity. 

I´m not doing all this by myself. Instead, I joined forces with ARK Natuurontwikkeling. They have decades of experience with projects like these and share the same enthousiasm and perseverance that I need for my journey! Everything that´s collected with this fundraiser is a bonus to the project. There´s no ´Cycling event Camille´ on the balance sheets, so every euro donated can go to the goal I´m cycling for!

Finally, every donation not only benefits the Veluwe, but it helps me mentally too to keep on going and reach the finish!
