Fiery beards for the fireys

From as soon as we could, Jake and I have had facial hair. However over the last 5 years our now fiery beards have become part of our identity. They’ve helped us meet new people, start conversations and even appear in a cheeky TV commercial or two. 
When fire started breaking out late last year I approached Jake and asked if he’d be keen to do a fundraiser to help those fighting and those affected by the fires. Hence fiery beards for fireys. 
By bringing together the community of Ballarat and shaving these synonymous beards we hope to raise as much as we can for the foundation we have chosen. We might be a bit late to the table, but every bit helps. Thank you in advance for your support. 



More information about The Trustee for Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria Welfare Fund: In 2015/16, the Welfare Fund distributed 33,348 to 37 volunteers experiencing financial hardship. It offered small grants to CFA volunteers, long serving former volunteers and their families who are experiencing significant financial hardship. Typical cases involve prolonged illness, bereavement, loss of earnings, or the accommodation and travel costs associated with supporting a relative in hospital.
