FIERCE works with queer, trans, and gender non conforming youth of color who struggle to survive and thrive every day. Our young leaders fight daily against a system that doesn't want them to live or to be free. On Friday, June 8th, one of our members who is experiencing homelessness and has survived through life on the streets was incarcerated and faces a huge bail that only we can help him raise. This inspired us to support him on the outside by raising the funds needed to get him out and to launch a FIERCE Youth Bail Fund to ensure we have funds available to free other young LGBTQ organizers and activists we train.

Many of our strongest leaders have either been incarcerated or live daily with the threat of future incarceration because they have no opportunities to thrive in this harsh world and very little support from their families of origin. At FIERCE, we believe that we must fight the system by giving all of our members the opportunity to experience different forms of healing and wellness as well to build pathways for them to experience freedom from the system in any way that we can. In order for the future movement to flourish we must collectively fight to keep all our people out of prison. The money we raise will allow us to bail our young leader out and will ensure that we have funds available for anyone else who needs bail support. Our goal is to raise 10,000 asap; when we reach 2,500 we will be able to get our member out.
