Pippa was born at 35 weeks and 3 days on July 1st, 2019. She came into this world about a month early with a bang!

Pippa is our unique, powerful little warrior and has already overcome some big challenges in her short life. At 16 days she had PDA surgery, developed Chylothorax, is continuing to work on removing extra fluid in her lungs and slowly working on her breathing to hopefully someday soon breathe on her own. Pippa is also blessed with some genetic differences which can mean nothing and anything when it comes to her development (this is a wait and see). She is our unicorn!

Pippa’s newest addition is her G tube, feeding tube, to assist her daily as she was aspirating every time she swallowed. Pippa has spent 88 long days in the NICU at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. This journey, we have been told, is a marathon and to be quite honest we have no idea what the future holds for our little girl. We are so overwhelmed with appreciation and love by the outreach and support from our family, friends, coworkers.
