Field School Study Abroad Opportunity in Brazil
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lula Baldriche and I am a rising junior at Middle Tennessee State University. I am asking for your help in reaching my goal of $2,500 to help further my education. I have been offered an incredible opportunity to study Environmental Anthropology in the Amazon Rainforest and Arembepe, Brazil, where I will explore complex human-environmental interactions in the Kayapó Indigenous community of A’Ukre, Pará, and the African-Brazilian fishing/tourist community of Arembepe, Bahia. In this study abroad program, I will deepen my understanding of issues related to indigenous peoples, conservation, and sustainable development, and I will gain valuable research and field experience.
The funding will go toward airfare, housing, food, and tuition for the program.
Attached is a link with more detailed information about the study abroad program I will participate in.
More information about me:
I am in the Honors College at Middle Tennessee State University studying Geography with minors in Art and Latin American Studies. I plan to attend graduate school to study Soil Science. Outside of my studies, I volunteer with the Murfreesboro Community Garden, host a radio show with the non-profit station 88.3 WMTS Murfreesboro, and work as an Indoor Guide at Climb Murfreesboro.
Thank you for your help!
