Fibromyalgia Struggles: Need a Helping Hand
Donation protected
I'm a single woman 56 years old. Never asked for a handout or charity in my entire life. I've always been that person who does for everyone else. Now I'm in a bad place. I have bad fibromyalgia (50 or more symptoms that range in degree of severity), to the point that my mobility is limited and i cant do stairs (of course I now live on 2nd floor apartment). I have disability insurance thru my work but there is a long waiting period of no pay check and I have to move and may have to consult an attorney. I'm only asking for help for my coverage of no pay, packing and moving expenses and possibly my first months insurance premiums as I have to pay that myself.
My whole retirement plan was supposed to be in two years but that has been shot in the foot due to my medical condition. The stress and anxiety from my job (government job...helping people) is a huge reason I'm failing and not getting better. I asked for an ADA accommodation to work from home, because I love the work I do and find great satisfaction in helping others. I only asked due to my disabilities but it was denied. Even though all thru Covid I worked all day everyday remotely even while taking care of my moms daily needs while she was in hospice and I stayed with her taking care of her until she passed. Now it's just me and my dog boo bear. Anything would help. Good karma will come back to you twice over.
