Fiancé needs life saving treatment
My fiancé Ben Vining is 37 years old, and together we have three girls, ages 11, 7, & 4. He’s current employed as a correctional officer here in Southern Illinois. He loves sports, but most of all, horse racing. We plan on getting married next fall! Ben is the kindest, most thoughtful, and compassionate man I’ve ever had the pleasure of loving, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
He was diagnosed in his early 20’s with metastatic paraganglioma cancer. Although it has progressively gotten worse over the years, it has caused reason for alarm now.
Unfortunately, he went in for a PET scan last month and we found out his cancer has gotten worse. He is currently on a new chemotherapy drug that is making him extremely sick and unable to get out of bed, let alone able go to work at this time. We recently learned of an 8 month drug trial in Maryland that he is eligible for. It has a very high success rate for his particular type of cancer, and has the potential to cure it! I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, but I have to try something.
We understand if you’re unable to donate at this time seeing as how CoVid-19 has taken a toll on most everyone right now. Thoughts and prayers are always appreciated as well!❤️
