Hi, my name is Shannon, and I’m fundraising for my little boy, Mason.
Mason is two and a half years old and lives with complex needs. He has an intellectual disability, is developmentally delayed, non-verbal, and has no awareness of danger or his surroundings. He doesn’t yet recognise me or his dad, and he also struggles with hypermobility, which causes his ankles to give way when he walks.
These challenges make it incredibly difficult to safely take Mason out and about. Standard prams or strollers just don’t work—he often hurts himself by banging his head, which we believe is a form of sensory-seeking behaviour. As a result, we’ve been unable to enjoy simple things like family days out or even comfortably get him to medical appointments.
I’m hoping to raise funds to buy a Racer Evo Special Needs Stroller—a specialised stroller that’s padded for head protection, built to handle his strength, and designed with the proper harnesses for his mobility needs.
This stroller would be life-changing. It would mean we can go on family outings again—including his big sister—attend medical appointments with more ease, and give Mason a safer way to experience the world around him.
Thank you so much for reading our story. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the absolute world to us.
With love and gratitude,
Shannon
