❤️ Help Yoshi Pup Heal ❤️

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the incredible love, support, shares, and prayers you’ve shown as we searched for our sweet Yoshi. The kindness we’ve received has been overwhelming, and we truly feel blessed to have such an amazing community around us.

Yoshi Was Found… But He’s Not Okay

We located Yoshi at the Bonita Animal Shelter — but he had been attacked by a pitbull and is now suffering from serious bite wounds all over his neck and legs. He currently cannot walk at all. Seeing him terrified, in pain, and unable to move completely shattered me.

The shelter staff was incredibly compassionate and reduced the medical costs, x-rays, and fees to just over $500, and they have capped the charges through the 20th so it doesn’t continue increasing. However, once I pick him up, I am mandated to take him directly to an emergency vet for urgent care.

What We Know So Far

X-rays showed no fractures or broken bones, which is a relief.

His inability to walk is likely due to neurological or spinal damage.

He will need an after-care plan, possibly long-term treatment, and immediate evaluation by an emergency veterinarian.

I received a packet of financial assistance resources to apply for, and my brother — who was caring for Yoshi at the time — will help however he can.

But right now, the situation is overwhelming, urgent, and far beyond what I’m able to manage alone.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’m doing everything I can for Yoshi, but his emergency care, neurological evaluation, pain management, and any long-term treatment or rehab will be expensive — and we simply weren’t prepared for something like this.

I’m reaching out with humility to ask for any support, whether it’s:

I feel heartbroken and helpless seeing him like this, and I’m trying so hard not to feel like a terrible puppy mom for not being able to fix this sooner. The sadness in his eyes was devastating.
