FHO Funding for Burrell’s New (Unofficial) Mascot

Hello, my name is Anna Harris and I am a first year medical student. Yesterday I came across a very young kitten in the road, he had obviously been injured somehow (likely hit by a car). I took him to the Animal Service Center, however, they said due to their limited space the cat would be immediately euthanized if there were any broke bones. They recommended I receive a second opinion if I could. A local animal hospital graciously took him back briefly and determined he was stable enough for the time being, but needed to go to an Urgent Care for imaging. I drove him out to the Animal Urgent Care in El Paso where he was deemed to be in excellent health except for a Femoral head/neck fracture. This injury is affecting the joint around his hip and causing him a lot of pain, the only realistic options unfortunately are to euthanize him or pay for a surgery to fix the affected joint. Given these circumstances and his impressive prognosis with this surgery, I would be so incredibly grateful to anyone that can contribute in any way possible.

Other than his limp right now, he is doing so well! He is the sweetest little orange kitten. Probably about 10 weeks old is our best guess. He is brave, mouthy (in a good way), and very affectionate!
