We are in a race against time to save the life of a sweet, resilient dog named Henry – lovingly known as Sir Henry. After enduring over a year of neglect and improper veterinary care, Henry is now in intensive care, fighting for his life. He’s under the care of a team of leading gastrointestinal specialists who are doing everything possible to give him the best chance of survival.

Henry’s condition is critical. He has severe, chronic gut issues, and his protein blood levels have dropped dangerously low, currently sitting at just over 9, when the healthy range is between 20 and 40. As you can see from the photos, he's also lost a huge amount of weight.

Despite everything, Henry is still lively and clearly wants to live. He has a strong spirit, and we’re doing all we can — but we can’t do it alone.

We’ve launched a fundraiser to raise the remaining £1,500 to cover both ongoing and future veterinary expenses to give Henry the care he desperately needs. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to that goal.

Adopted just over a year ago, Henry’s health began to decline. Despite being told in September that he needed abdominal scans and a gut biopsy, his previous owner failed to act. We seized Henry just over a week ago when it became clear he was being neglected, and immediately sought emergency, specialist treatment.
