EDIT: My incredibly beautiful, courageous, kind, funny, intelligent and amazing dear sister passed away at 2pm on Friday 5 May 2023. She fought valiantly against cancer, her strength and courage will always inspire me. She brought so much joy and love into our lives, and I will cherish every memory we shared. She was an amazing mother to Riley, nurturing him always with a gentle and calm spirit. Her kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched the lives of so many people, and her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, my beloved sister. You will always be loved and remembered.

Instead of flowers, we kindly request donations to this page to help with Funeral costs and future care for Riley. The last few months have put extreme financial pressure on this family, with medical & travel costs and no accessible life insurance, so we have stretched the target from $30k to $50k. My beautiful sister and best friend, Nicole, is going through the fight of her life.

Late in 2022, only months after the birth of her son, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer. She fought this battle with courage, kindness, grace and determination. I am so proud of her.

Despite finishing aggressive radiation & chemotherapy treatments, she recently began to feel unwell again. Unfortunately, cancer has now metastasised to multiple parts of her body and unfortunately, treatment is no longer working.

Nicole is a beautiful human. Kind, caring, funny, hardworking, and always looking within herself to be a better person.

She is a mother to a beautiful child, Riley (who is only 14 months), a loved partner to Thomas, an amazing sister to myself, Sweeney, Ryan, Luci, Kane and Emily, a phenomenal Aunty to Dexter and River, a loving daughter, and a loyal friend. She is also a passionate school teacher with a huge sense of social justice and inclusion that has always gone the extra mile to support kids with significant learning and social issues. Nicole has influenced the lives of so many people and students in the world.

Due to her illness and next aggressive treatment, she is feeling very unwell and cannot work. Dealing with cancer and financial hardship is tough so we would love to have help to raise money for treatment, petrol and bills which will ease some pressure so Nicole can focus on healing and have energy to spare on the job she loves the most, being a beautiful mother to Riley.
