Move Mountains for Madison
Donation protected
I am starting this campaign on behalf of my daughter's father, Madison Chandler.
On July 2nd, 2017, doctors from the University of Iowa, told Madison, who is only 25 yrs old, that they thought he may have cancer. A few weeks later he was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma, which is a very rare and aggressive cancer. They also informed him that he has sickle cell trait, which has been linked to this particular type of cancer.
Due to this type of cancer being so rare, treatment options are limited. On August 7th, 2017, he went to the University of Iowa to begin his first round of chemo treatment. The chemo treatments are also limited because of how strong each treatment is. Madison and his family decided to get a second opinion from the oncologists at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Towards the end of August, 2017, he made his first trip to Texas to meet his oncologist team.
At this point, the cancer is at a stage 4 and he has completed the maximum amount of chemo that he can, so he will be going back to Texas next week to meet with his doctors.
Madison has an amazing family that is doing everything and anything that they can to get him the best care possible. All donations will go directly to his mom for travel and medical expenses. Thank you in advance!"
