Help Val fight cancer!

Donation protected
My dear friend Val has had some tragic life altering news. She was recently diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. I've watched Val's health, energy, and smile deteriorate over the past few months, not knowing what was wrong, feeling maybe it's just age, wear & tear. Thankfully, she was able to get into a doctor that FINALLY gave her some answers, although it was not what she ever could have imagined she'd hear. She is a mother of 3 kids, a wife and a dear friend to many! Her hospitalization bills, follow-up care, life-long medication, and work loss are a heavy financial burden on Val and her family as she does not have any medical insurance. Please read Val's message and share her story with your friends and family. Any gesture thought, or support is graciously appreciated.

"Hey Friends and family! I wanted to thank you all for the love, support and prayers over the past couple weeks. I saw my general practitioner on the 23rd of July due to chronic fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, dizziness and just all around feeling terrible. My blood tests came back with some very concerning numbers. My white blood cell count was very high, I was also showing markers for Acute leukemia which would have required immediate medical intervention. I was hospitalized Friday immediately following my appointment with my oncologist. Thank goodness we were able to rule out Acute Leukemia! After much testing my official diagnosis is Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. The doctor is very hopeful that we will be able to treat this long term with much success! I will actually start to feel better and get my energy back.
This is the new me!! While most of you won’t see a difference, I sure do!! My journey forward may not be one I would have ever picked for myself, but it’s a part of who I am. I fully intend to take it on and be the best version of me that I know how to be! My husband Troy is the best support system. He is my calm in a tsunami and helps keep me level headed. I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side.
I also have an amazing group of friends and family that are willing to bend over backwards and do anything for me! I love you all and am so blessed to have you in my life ❤️!
Moral of the story, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it gives you lemons, lemons can be sweet you just have to add a bit of sugar!"
