Please Help save Kiki

Hi everyone 

Unfortunately I have no choice but to seek help in raising funds to save Kiki

Kiki is my 8 year old Husky, who’s full of life and loves adventures, whether it’s on the beach or up mountains.

For the last couple weeks she has been really poorly, not eating and a discharge. She is also depressed and in a lot of pain. 

The vet has diagnosed her with pyometra.  An infection to the uterus. She needs an emergency operation to remove the uterus. Without it she won’t survive and the longer she waits for the operation the further the infection will spread and reduce her chances of survival. 

After several calls between my insurance and vets, the insurance company have refused to accept the claim. Due to the fact in 2017 I took her to the vets for a routine spay, the vet couldn’t perform the spay at that time due to her having a phantom pregnancy. The insurance company claim that due to it being a condition raised previously that the claim will not be accepted. The planned routine spay wasn’t updated with the insurance, as I was paying for that myself. And planned to try at a later date. I also felt that it was hormonal not a medical issue, but the insurance company will not comply.

Im desperate to raise the funds in time for Kiki to have this operation ASAP and increase her chances of having a successful operation and increase her chances of survival, also reduce her suffering as she is in a lot of pain. She has been on antibiotics and painkillers for two weeks which has shown positive signs, she is eating and increasing her strength. Antibiotics are not going to cure the condition and she needs the emergency operation ASAP.
