Hello, my name is Mikayla and I am raising money on behalf of my mom Theresa.

I'm raising money to help my mom with her medical expenses. She was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (MM), which is a blood cancer generated from her bone marrow. Her insurance plan has not covered anything, from the PET scan to chemotherapy and everything else in between. Not only have the medical costs been a huge burden, but also the travel to/from Richmond multiple times a week for hospital stays, specialists visits and to receive treatment. This will continue to be an ongoing expense since there is no cure for MM yet.

The goal is to raise money to alleviate some of financial burden that has been placed on our family. This will be a long road but with the continued love and support from family and friends, we will get through this together. My mom has been such a trooper and is doing well throughout this difficult and very unexpected time. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to help cover my mom's medical bills, so she can focus on the healing process instead of stressing over the bills that are steadily accumulating.
