My worst nightmare has come true... my beautiful mother has passed away. Even though I knew this moment was coming, nothing in this world could have prepared me for it. My mom wasn't just my mother she was my best friend, my safe place, and my biggest support. Now I have to figure out how to live in a world without her, and my heart is shattered.

My mom was one of the strongest, most loving woman I've ever known. For the past four months, she fought a battle no one should have to endure. She was in and out of the hospital, suffered the loss of both of her legs due to complications from diabetes, and still kept pushing through every surgery, every setback, and every ounce of pain. Even when she was hallucinating, confused, and suffering she held on. But her body just couldn't take it anymore. Her heart gave out, and she passed away from cardiac arrest. As much as it hurts to say, I know that God saw her pain and called her home to rest. Now I'm faced with trying to give her the peaceful homegoing she deserves. I want to honor her life with a cremation and celebration of life service, but I need help. I was her full-time caregiver and haven't been able to work while taking care of her.
