I’m Vanya and I am fundraising so that I can complete my training to become a qualified Child Counsellor.

The cost of the Postgraduate Diploma will be in excess of:

£13,770 for fees

£2, 550 for compulsory personal therapy

After challenging beginnings myself, from an early age, I took care of those smaller or less able to manage than myself. This eventually leading into a career supporting children and young people. From many years in schools, to early intervention programmes, summer activities and specialist care. Helplines, home visits and tailored projects - I hold a great passion for the cause.

I was working with vulnerable children when I decided to complete a degree in Psychology for Education, part-time alongside my work. I have now also completed my Levels 2 and 3 towards becoming a child counsellor after a year’s wait previously, for the bursary option. An application and interview process have secured me a place for the qualifying course.

Unfortunately, it is a highly competitive route towards a bursary for the qualifying course. Very few are successful and I have been forced to delay my studies for an additional 18 months. I am now seeking the help of those who might support me, in supporting the cause of tackling children and young people’s mental health.

All funding would be put towards the course fees, compulsory personal therapy and any other required resources – such as books. All of which should contribute towards ensuring my success in passing the qualification and continuing my journey in helping those that I can.
