Sean Sheehan Final Expenses
Donation protected
I met Sean when I was 16. Sarah and I had come up to Burlington on a long weekend from NMH. Sean was a little grouchy and sarcastic. Naturally, I liked him right away. I have to say, over the years, that didn’t really change. I enjoyed exchanging witty banter and talking about music, mostly Sean telling me I had horrible taste. The thing is, he always made me feel like I was part of the family, not just another one of Sarah’s friends (and we could be pretty obnoxious). There was no fluff. He said exactly what he meant. I always respected that. As a whole, I always thought Sean was a great guy. Sure he was a Mets fan, but everyone has faults.
Monday morning I woke up to the news that you all woke up to, Sean was gone. My mind raced with random memories. Then I thought of Sarah, George and Eileen and my heart broke wide open. Sean was above all else, a family man. I knew how devastating this was going to be. It’s hard to be of much help from so far away. I called Sarah to see what I could do. As you might imagine, Sean wasn’t planning on leaving and didn’t have any final plans in place. After seeing the outpouring of love and support from friends, and knowing George and Eileen are retired, I suggested to Sarah that she should let me start a Gofundme campaign on Sean’s behalf. The last thing Sean would ever want was to make things harder for his family.
To those of you who have reached out wanting to know if you can help in any way, this would be it. No one needs to feel obligated. If you can donate, great. If not, that's okay too. I know your stories and pictures have brought great comfort as well. Keep them coming and Thanks! Sean Loved you all!
