Stan's Kenya Expedition with Camps International!

Hi, my name is Stan and I'm raising money to help towards the cost for me to take part in an expedition to Kenya with Camps International and my school. The total cost is £5,190. I will be doing various fundraising activities and events to help me earn the money to go.

On this expedition I will take part in various projects that help the environment and local communities become more sustainable. This involves building schools and houses for locals, building humane elephant deterrants, deworming animals and providing clean drinking water to name but a few amazing causes.

This is important to me because when I saw the presentation in school and the real life conditions that people have to live in, I felt like I needed to help in some small way. The smiles on the children's faces in the inspirational videos is my main motivator and I cannot wait to meet them! They will teach me their language and culture and I will teach them mine as well as a bit of dancing.

As well as this, there will also be adventures that I will be able to experience that will be life changing. I will increase my strength, fitness and resilience. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I just couldn't pass up.
