Our family is grieving the heartbreaking loss of our mother, who passed away far too soon. She was a devout and loving mother, a cherished sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and friend—and above all, a genuinely good person.

Raised in California, our mom loved nature deeply. The beach, the mountains, and the outdoors brought her peace and joy. No matter how difficult life became, she never let her children go without. As a single mother, she faced challenge after challenge with strength, grace, and unwavering love, always putting her family first.

Her hardest health struggles began after contracting what we now believe was COVID before it was widely known. This significantly worsened her pre-existing lung issues. Over time, her health continued to decline with the onset of serious heart problems that required heart surgery. Alongside these challenges, she was also battling muscular dystrophy. These conditions slowly took away her mobility and independence, and ultimately led to her passing.

During her illness, our family did everything we could to care for her. This included taking extended time away from work, frequent travel to medical facilities and care centers, and purchasing necessary items to support her care at home. These responsibilities created significant financial strain long before her passing.

Now, as we try to move forward while honoring her memory, we are facing additional hardships. The costs of her memorial services, ongoing household bills, utilities, and the aforementioned diminished pay have made it incredibly difficult for our family to stay afloat. We may also be facing the possibility of selling our family home, adding to the uncertainty during an already painful time.
