The Schugel Family

Hi, my name is Dave Kes and our son, Josh, and his family are facing difficult tmes due to a medical situation. The Schugel Family lives about 2 1/2 hours west of the Twin Cities in Watson, Minnesota. Our daughter in law, Kaytee, is a stay at home Mom to 4 children (ages 5-15). Josh supports his family as best he can as a one-man Handyman service.

Kaytee was recently diagnosed with breast cancer which led to her receiving a double mastectomy on July 23, 2025. She is a tough and private woman who doesn't like to share her trials, but this is taking a toll on their whole family.

We are thankful the medical insurance should cover most of the cost of the procedure, but there is a lot of driving back and forth between their home and the cities. Kaytee will be staying with us while receiving aftercare so Josh will need to balance his time with her while working and watching the kids. She does not yet know if she will need chemo or radiation.

Josh is a self employed person and is forced to decide between providing for his family and spending time with Kaytee as she recovers. If you feel God is leading you to help support this family, we would appreciate your prayers as they seek God's direction.
