Hello friends,
Even though my heart is heavy, it is filled with much hope and faith as I share this news with you on behalf of MAPA Executive and Artistic Director, David Johnston, and his wife Sally Sefton Johnston. David has been diagnosed with late stage nonalcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. The etiology of his illness could not be determined. Possibilities include autoimmunity, viral, medication-induced, etc. He urgently requires a LIVER TRANSPLANT. David is at the California Pacific Medical Center liver center now being evaluated. I am trying to raise at least $50,000 to assist the family with medical expenses, airfare, lodging, meals and other expenses during the waiting and recovery periods. I know how much David and Sally are beloved. Your support and generosity mean so much.
I set up a Friends of David Johnston Facebook page so you can wish him well and where Sally and I can post updates.
