Hi, I am fundraising on behalf of my daughter.

My daughter has complex, life-long special educational needs and disabilities; including but not limited to Autism (PDA profile), ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive and Ritualistic Behaviours, High Anxiety, Developmental Language Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and a moderate learning.

We have exhausted all other avenues at this stage.

We and incredibly generous members of our family, have already spent tens of thousands of pounds on trying to secure her an inclusive education at home. She has already been awarded an Education Other than in School Package of Education by the SEND tribunal given extremely poor experiences at a previous educational establishment which has impacted her greatly and meant she is now unable to attend any school due to being and feeling unsafe in and around schools and school professionals. This package is however not now being fully provided by the council.

Our daughter’s EHCP annual review is also overdue, which is further denying her the provision she was awarded by the tribunal panel, and further denying us any right to request funding to support us to continue to provide it in the absence of the council providing it.

We would like to take this further to ensure primarily that our daughter really does get the support she deserves. We would really like to raise enough money to start judicial review proceedings. This is when a service is investigated legally for not fulfilling its statutory duty. We understand we must pay for the initial pre-action protocol letter in relation to this, and if it ends up having to go all the way to court, we can bring the remainder of the legal work in our daughters name which would likely be through legal aid as she is under 18.
