Eric was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is a married father of three. Eric is a lifelong educator. He taught in the classroom and for the last decade plus has been leading students and staff as a principal. Eric is also passionate about soccer and has served as both a coach and referee for many years. He has a gift for making connections with students, student athletes and anyone else he encounters. Some have described him as the best person they have ever known. Others say his super power is making people feel heard and supported.

Eric has a very rare sub-type of pancreatic cancer called adenosquamous carcinoma. He and his wife traveled to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center last month to give him the best shot of success with treatment. He will receive some treatment locally, but will be traveling to Houston fairly frequently to monitor his condition and receive care that we cannot get locally. Some of this treatment may be of an experimental nature through clinical trials.

Two of Eric's three children are still in school. One is in high school and the other is in college. His daughter is planning her wedding for next year. Eric and his wife also care for his monther-in-law.
