Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Ewurabena, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. My beloved mother has been admitted to the ICU at International Maritime Hospital (IMAH) due to pneumonia, communicating hydrocephalus, left-sided heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. Her condition is critical and is on life support.

She is a strong, loving, and selfless woman who has always put others before herself. Now, she needs our help more than ever. The mounting medical costs, daily ICU expenses, and ongoing treatments have placed an overwhelming financial burden on our family. The cost of her care is devastating — between £4,300 - £5800 every 3 days depending on treatment given and procedures done with ICU charges alone exceeding £1,000 daily. She has already spent 3 weeks in the ICU. Doctors have confirmed she needs urgent brain surgery to survive, and a minimum of a month stay in the ICU.

We are doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
