Help Simon continue his studies in Oxford [CLOSED]
Four years ago, I applied to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford and I did not make the cut.
Three years ago, I reapplied nonetheless. This was an extremely difficult year for me and my family, because my father passed away after a long and hard-fought battle against cancer. This happened one week before the Oxford interviews, and my headspace was clearly occupied by this heartbreaking event rather than by my academic future. Somehow, I managed to secure a place.
Today, I am incredibly proud to share that I will be graduating with First Class Honours amongst the top five percent of my cohort. I am enormously grateful to all those who helped me along the way, in the first place my family, friends and tutors.
To continue my studies, I face a new challenge: I need to raise funds to pay for the first year of my masters in European Politics and Society at University of Oxford. I see this MPhil programme as an ideal opportunity to further develop my passion for European Politics.
I will aim to make my research benefit others as much as possible. Both on and off the continent, we need to build a better-informed public debate about the European Union, and contributing to this will be the key aim of my studies.
To that end, I’m launching this fundraiser today that will finish on August 31. Will you help me continue my studies?
I am eternally grateful for donations of any size.
