THEY NEED YOUR HELP!

A young listless child with a fever and unrelenting diarrhea for over 24 hours convulses and dies. There was no local affordable health clinic to provide the much-needed hydrating electrolyte solution that would have saved her life.

A worker is burned in a factory accident in rural India. He receives no treatment at work and returns to his home, an unsanitary hut. Without affordable and accessible medical care, he washes his wound with unclean water and wraps the area with rags. Within days he develops an infection, a fever and life-threatening septicemia.

A grandmother has been increasingly short of breath. Her ankles have been swollen for a while now. She keeps attributing it to “just getting old”.  There was no local affordable medical care where her hypertension could have been diagnosed. No one to tell her of treatments available. Treatments that early on would avert her developing a weakened heart muscle and life-threatening congestive heart failure.

The above stories are an all too common fact of life in rural India. These and other incidents with dire consequences are played out over and over every day.
With the creation of THE SRIMAD SAI RAJARAJESHWARI MEDICAL CLINICS, FREE medical care facilities are now accessible and many stories like these are having happier endings. Two clinics are in rural areas outside the city of Mysore and a third provides services in a slum area within the city.
Many people in this area are unemployed. Some of those who are lucky enough to have found jobs as farm or factory workers receive meager wages. Any money spent on medical care and medicine is money not available for food. The clinics provide FREE medical evaluations, wound care, medicine, vitamin tonics and health education. Additionally, periodic Cardiology, Gynecology, Dental and Eye Care “Camps” offer specialized evaluations and referrals.
The clinics are run by the Indian nonprofit - Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari Trust and overseen directly by Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari, lovingly known as “Amma”.  The funding for these clinics has come from the United States Non Profit SSR Karnataka Projects and they NEED YOUR HELP as mounting costs, increased numbers of patients and limited resources make it ever more difficult to maintain the present level of support.
NO DONATION IS TOO LARGE OR TOO SMALL!

The American dollar goes a long way in India. Even a small donation can make a HUGE difference.

We ask you to participate in Amma’s compassionate care to provide life-saving health facilities to those less fortunate. Please help us reach our goal of $40,000.

Together we can do this!

“We should wish for all what we wish for our own family - for we should see all humanity as one single family” (Telugu Poem).

Your donation is tax deductible. SSR Karnataka Projects is a U.S. Charitable Organization with IRS 501 (c) (3) status. For further information the website is www.ssrkarnatakaprojects.org.

May gratefulness shower you and your loved ones!
