As many of you may know, back in 2023, after giving birth to my daughter, I was evicted from my apartment in Elmwood Park and ended up homeless with my 3-month-old. Since then, I have been going through trials and tribulations just to get back on my feet to provide for me and my daughter. Unfortunately, I have become aware that Elmwood Village Apartments is suing me for money owed from 2023 that I was unable to pay and am still unable to pay. They are now trying to garnish my wages. I just became employed and am currently behind on my current bills. I can't afford to come up with a payment arrangement to pay off the over $5,000 debt owed to Elmwood Village Apartments, and if they garnish my paychecks, I will again fall behind in all my current bills and eventually end up homeless again. I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes to raise some money to at least start paying off some of the debt I owe so I can move on with my life and be able to provide for me and my daughter.
