FF-EMT Mark Winstead Medical Emergency

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our story. Beloved Jefferson County ESD4 Volunteer Firefighter/Medic, and Acadian Ambulance EMT Mark Winstead has been hospitalized following the rapid onset of a severe illness and is currently admitted to the intensive care unit of Baptist Hospital. Mark is the sole provider for hIs family and has nearly expended all of his available sick and vacation leave.

Mark is one of the most selfless and giving individuals you will ever encounter. He consistently ranks with the "top 3" volunteer responders throughout the 265 square mile response area of the LaBelle, Fannett, and Cheek communities. He is without a doubt, the embodiment of selfless giving and volunteerism.
