I'll post updated photos soon. My face is really sore right now, but that's normal and will pass. One part that would have made a difference on the busted right joint had to be removed. Overall, everything else healed the way it's supposed to do

It's amazing what they can do now vs 10, 15, 20 years ago. I've tried all the treatments before this one, since I was a kid, so I appreciate this technology. Very thankful for my surgeon!

Past Updates: Healing takes time. I needed an extra visit. We're approaching the End Game

This (4th) is the longest visit since the initial surgery. The 5th and final will be short.

Any help appreciated! You're all so fantastic to make this doable. The surgical costs alone - it feels so selfish to take care of myself like this.

A group is coming next week to document the work done on my right jaw joint and other problem trauma areas between appointments. I hope my treatment plan can help others living far from my surgeon get access to care

The Surgery went well! Dr. Saeed worked miracles. My right neck muscles immediately relaxed. Tension on the broken jaw is lighter. At-risk nerves protected. He found workarounds for everything!

Two more visits to finish details. Visible hardware is still temporary at this time.

A surgeon in LA is able to help me correct damage from the 2009 rear-end car accident following too closely to my major orthognathic jaw surgery.

This is a miracle! Nobody thought there would be a fix. My jaw joints are broken and there's extensive damage with which I've lived for years.

Specialists say this can give me back my smile, which I haven't liked since 2009, and haven't been able to do anything about it. I posted one of the only photographs I have taken during the brief window between surgery and MVA.

My problem muscles, nerves, and overall alignment will improve. I asked if I could run again after surgery, and was told perhaps. You all have no idea how much joy this brings!

I'll still have complications from 2009, but not as many. My jaw joints will still be broken, as you can prominently see on the left side of the photo. My ankylosis right lower tooth is on a nerve. It can't move.

I hope I love my new smile. My dentist and other dental specialists all recommend this and all recommend this surgeon.

I have to go to LA three times, and the rest of after-care is monitored here.

$50,000 is ridiculously high. I no longer have fancy insurance. I spend lots of money on temporary fixes and cosmetic dentistry, and this will stop that.

I ask for others all the time. It feels strange asking for me. I'm trying to feel worth it. It's been a while with this mouth I don't like.
