Ffaldau PTA - Garw Valley Federation Music For Youth trip
Donation protected
This year, the three schools in the Garw Valley Federation: Ffaldau Primary School, Betws Primary School and Blaengarw Primary School came together to practise and perform, ‘True Colours.’ The children from across the three schools took part in a recording of the song, which was submitted to the regional Music For Youth Festival. The children demonstrated their musical skills by performing vocals and on a range of instruments.
We are extremely pleased to have been notified that the children have been invited to perform at the National Festival in Birmingham Town Hall on Friday 5th July. The performance will be filmed and shared through social media and through Music For Youth.
As three schools in the Garw Valley Federation, we are now busy trying to raise the funds in the short time we have to do so, to take representatives from all three schools (around 120 children) to the event at a cost of just under £2700.
We have already raised a large amount of the cost through small grants and generous donations. We are continuing to fundraise to help us to minimise the cost for our families and to allow our children to attend this one-off experience, as well as cover the cost of transport for a joint rehearsal beforehand. We would appreciate any donations however small.
Many thanks,
Ffaldau PTA
