International Leadership Seminar for State Officers
My name is Esther Grosz, and I am serving Washington FFA as the State Secretary this year. FFA is a program dedicated to supporting and encouraging youth involvement in agriculture. I am so excited to be working towards bettering our agriculture community not just within the United States, but globally.
I have been accepted into a program called the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers, otherwise known as ILSSO. This is an opportunity to travel to Costa Rica from January 2-January 15, 2023, to learn and connect with their agriculture. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will allow me to tour the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center, a palm plantation, a pineapple plantation, the Agricultural and Industrial Technical School, and so many other places. These sites are home to some of the world leaders in agricultural development.
As a state officer, I am dedicating this year to service meaning I am volunteering my entire year to Washington FFA. I am writing to ask you to contribute to furthering my education in international agriculture. In doing so I will be able to reinvest that knowledge within the youth of Washington. By donating you will be investing in a leader. When I return, I will be sending out an infographic with photos, inserts from my journal, and things I learned from my time in Costa Rica!
