My name is Monica - I am Josh’s aunt. I know Josh has made many friends in his 25 years, and right now he needs each and every one of you.

On August 14, 2023 Josh was in a terrible accident. He was having car issues while driving on SR 525 in Lynwood, WA. After he pulled over, Josh got out of his car to inspect it. He and his car were struck by another driver. Josh’s girlfriend was inside of the car and we are so thankful she was released from the hospital with minor injuries.

Josh was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he currently sits in ICU. He has been unconscious since the accident and is unaware of his life altering injuries.

Unfortunately, Josh lost one of his feet at the scene. The other foot had to be amputated at the hospital. He has a broken pelvis and many broken ribs. He has some injuries in his face and road rash all over his face & body. The doctors had to remove his spleen and a small portion of his pancreas. He is being treated for blood clots and is being monitored closely for infection.

He’s had one surgery already and we know he will pull through this next one. He’ll be on his way to recovery, healing and learning a new way of life. He will not be able to work and will need lots of support during this process and beyond. All funds raised will go directly to Josh for the many facets of recovery and healing needed right now and in his future that will undoubtedly be overwhelming for him.

At this time, we do not have any more information about the person/driver who hit Josh and his car. We will update you all as information come to us.
