While out protecting his neighborhood from the bad guys (birds, mice, rabbits), Batman (aka the coolest cat) got injured. He came home last week limping on his left front leg,
which is a big deal since he is such a stoic guy. He was taken to his vet where X-Rays were taken and multiple fractures are visible in the Ulna and Radius (ouch!). The vets believe that this was done to Batman, since there are no bite wounds, no bruising, and it is inconsistent with a fall (I get so mad thinking someone could have such hate for an innocent kitty). If anyone knows Batman (he’s pretty popular in his hood) he is the most friendly cat you will encounter. I moved in next door to where he lives 4 years ago and didn’t know anyone in my new neighborhood. Not a day later, Batman greeted us in our driveway and demanded pets right away. Because of him I met one of my greatest friends in this world (his owner, Leslie). He would often sleep over at our house and hang out with us like we were his second family. I don’t know if I would be as close to his family if it weren’t for him. That’s pretty amazing for a cat.
The family has gone through a financial hardship this year with some pretty major medical bills. I wanted to set up a GoFundMe to assist in Batman’s medical bills and the surgery that is required to fix his fractures. He has an appointment set for Monday morning with the surgeon, and I’m hoping we can raise if not all, most of the surgery cost this weekend, so that he can have the surgery and be back home with his family, especially his human sisters for Thanksgiving. He brings so much entertainment and joy to everyone he meets and is such a friendly, loveable cat.
Let’s help get the surgery he needs so he can get back to his job as the neighborhood
watch cat/ official greeter ASAP!
