Help Fettuccine Get the Treatment He Desperately Needs!
Donation protected
On 24th March, Fettuccine had a seizure, and his health has been deteriorating since then. My happy, cheeky, loving boy went from knocking things off the table by day and cuddling me by night to being unable to walk in a straight line, and as of yesterday evening he is completely immobile. He's responding to being hand-fed treats and is drinking water when his head is propped up in the bowl. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see his quality of life dip so dramatically, and to see how much weight he's lost.
Fettuccine has now been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a viral disease in cats caused by feline coronavirus. While the feline coronavirus is very common in cats, FIP is a more severe, usually fatal, form of the disease. He has a more advanced neurological variant of the disease.
Insurance aren't helping, and bills are mounting up, with hundreds of pounds being spent every day totaling to over £2,000 so far, and many more yet to come. The good news is that FIP is treatable and 85% of cats who receive treatment do recover. The bad news is that the medication is one of the most expensive, costing £2,100 for 6 weeks.
This boy is everything to me, he is my reason to smile every day and he gives me purpose. Everyone's biased about their pets... but he really is the best boy. I've never known a love like this, he is my everything and I don't want costs to get in the way of what's best for him.
If anyone can spare some money, however big or small, it will go a long way in supporting both of us and getting Fettuccine the treatment he desperately needs. If you can't donate, please share this in the hope that it will reach someone who can. All donations will go towards treatment bills and medication.
Thank you <3 here's a healthy Fettuccine to melt your hearts.
