Festival of Champions: FEI Juniors
My name is McKenzie Milburn and I have been riding horses my whole life. I have been learning and showing dressage since I was 12 years old. I have had the wonderful opportunity to ride many amazing horses and ponies and learn from so many talented and dedicated trainers here in Region 6 and also with the USDF coaches. I am very grateful for all the support my family, friends, and community have given me to allow me to continue to pursue my dreams of riding in national and someday international competitions.
One year ago, I was given the amazing gift of my new horse Zeno. This year we have worked hard to train from first level to third level with the goal of competing in the FEI Junior division at Lamplight (this is my last year I am eligible because I just turned 18). Last year, Zeno and I were training and working for Alyssa Pitts and this year we are training with
Jennifer Schrader Williams and working as her assistant trainer at Summervale. We have also been fortunate to clinic with: Christophe Theallet, George Williams, Christine Traurig, and we were invited to the Dressage Development clinic with Charlotte Bredhal. This year was Zeno's first full show season and he is my heart horse! Zeno and I are a lot a like: hard working, a bit intense, and very dedicated to getting it right! My BIG dreams take a village and I truly appreciate all the support everyone has given me! My promise is that I will pay it forward! Thank you for helping me show and transport my horse, Zeno, to Chicago for the Festival of Champions where we will compete in the FEI Junior Division. We appreciate all of your support!
