We have an opportunity to make a difference everyday.
We are the lucky adults who work with children at Ferndale Montessori Center.
Our team has inspired, guided, directed, supported and loved the families and children for the past 39 years. Most of our staff have worked together for over 10 years (and some as long as 20 years). We want to get back to doing what we do best: help children grow and blossom into the amazing people they can be.
We are a family. The parents and teachers are the village working for the well-being of the child. At FMC we enroll the child, but we adopt the family. We become friends.
The COVID-19 virus is presenting a time to come together for the greater good. Right now the teaching team is sacrificing their incomes so that our school can stay afloat until this storm passes.
If you would like to invest in the preservation of FMC and help soften the financial blow for the staff, please consider donating what you can.
Our goal is to help staff pay bills or purchase essentials during this difficult time.
When our goal is reached, the proceeds will be divided among the eleven members of our staff. Some members may elect to keep their portion "in the pot" for others to use.
These are uncertain times. No one knows when this crisis will end, but it will!
We want to focus our thoughts on the time we will all be together again- bending down, opening our arms and letting that smiling little face come close to us. And we will say, "We are so glad you are here"!
