Ferndale Grandmother hurt in car accident
Donation protected
On Thursday April 11th my Aunt, Teresa Thompson was in a very bad car accident after an officer in an unmarked SUV failed to yield at a red light crashing into her driver's side door. The impact caused severe injuries including a broken pelvis (causing the internal bleeding, torn bladder, a knick in her liver and tears to the small intestine), broken femur, tibia, fibula, 4 small spinal fractures and a broken rib (causing an injury to the lung). She is currently undergoing her 3rd surgery and still has at least 2 more surgeries plus a long long road of recovery ahead. My Aunt Terri is the primary caretaker for her disabled son. She has also been caring for her husband, a retired vet, that recently suffered a stroke, as well as working full time as a bookkeeper. Terri is a devoted and loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is the glue that holds the family together. This accident is going to put a huge financial burden on my aunt and her family as she will not be able to return to work anytime in the foreseeable future. Please keep her in your positive thoughts! I know she deserves all the help this world can offer. Your assistance would mean the world to her. Thank you!!!!
