Please help me fundraise for my cousin during this tough time:

On May 30th, my cousin Fernando Forero (known to some as Ferch) was involved in brutal hit and run on his E-bike. He was left with a broken shoulder blade (left side), multiple broken ribs, in an area that has altered his deep breathing, slight hearing loss (right ear) and several skull fractures that have altered his vision and has increased his sensitivity to light.

EMS rushed him to the hospital; they reported him as a John Doe who had been involved in a hit and run and left unconscious. Upon his release from the hospital, he reported the accident to the Greenville, South Carolina police. They stated it was a reckless driving incident and no evidence found on the scene. The E-bike he rode was left in the front yard of a house, as per police and EMS. However, it was than stolen. The homeowner has video evidence on their Ring camara, and police are investigating the robbery. The police report was just released, adding to their investigation both the bike robbery incident and accident. Praying for positive results in order to pursue legal action toward this individual who had no heart in hitting him and leaving the scene.

He is lucky to be alive. A father to three amazing children; blessed to have him back with us recovering day by day. He was able to make it to bless his oldest Ryan who will be protecting our country as he joins the US Army in the vertical construction engineering program, witness his 19-year-old Mars graduate HS to now attend Winthrop University pursuing a teaching degree and to rejoin with his 3-year-old Nakoa who flourishes and brings him joy daily.

Unfortunately, these injuries will keep him out of work for at least 2 months. Overall, depending on rehab and upcoming treatments recommended in his recovery plan. He has implemented a healthier diet and set goals to slowly begin his sports routine such as yoga, tennis, and soccer when permitted. Family and Friends have been his biggest supporters, but he does need some extra help during this time. This life changing experience might even force him to a career change. Anxious over how will he make ends meet with upcoming medical bills and regular monthly bills. Any little bit helps!
