Fernando Martinez was a kind man, a devoted father, and a selfless son. He was the heart of our family — always putting others first, always showing up with love and generosity.

On Tuesday, September 22nd, Fernando traveled to Medellín, Colombia to celebrate his best friend's birthday. What was meant to be a joyful boys' trip turned into a devastating tragedy.

Fernando and his friends were drugged by a group of women. While the others survived, Fernando’s life was tragically taken on Thursday, September 25th.

Now, our family is facing the unimaginable pain of losing him and the overwhelming cost of bringing him home. International repatriation is expensive, and we’re asking for your help to cover the costs and honor Fernando’s memory with the dignity he deserves.

Fernando Martínez fue un hombre bondadoso, un padre dedicado y un hijo generoso. Era el corazón de nuestra familia: siempre dispuesto a ayudar, siempre presente con amor y entrega.

El martes 22 de septiembre, Fernando viajó a Medellín, Colombia para celebrar el cumpleaños de su mejor amigo. Lo que debía ser un viaje alegre entre amigos se convirtió en una tragedia devastadora.

Fernando y sus amigos fueron drogados por un grupo de mujeres. Mientras los demás lograron sobrevivir, la vida de Fernando fue arrebatada el jueves 25 de septiembre.

Ahora, nuestra familia enfrenta el dolor inimaginable de su pérdida —y el alto costo de traerlo de regreso a casa. La repatriación internacional es costosa, y estamos pidiendo tu ayuda para cubrir los gastos y honrar la memoria de Fernando con la dignidad que merece.
