Fernando Batista - Road to Recovery
Donation protected
For those who are unaware, on the night of September 25th, Fernando Batista was involved in a freak accident where he slipped, breaking his C5-C6 vertebrae, and slightly damaging his C4. He had emergency surgery the following morning at UMC Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, and is currently recovering. As of now he is stable, but has little to no movement in his arms and legs. He is in high spirits, talking and cracking jokes. We are praying for a miracle that he can continue to regain function and potentially make a full recovery.
Anyone that knows Fernando knows what an active, outgoing, and all-around incredible person he is. Fernando is determined and dedicated to not let this accident define his future. We all believe in him and will do everything we can to give him the best possible chance at beating the odds, which people have done before! Fernando is not the type of person to ask for help but has allowed us to create this page. Anything to support him on his recovery journey would mean the world.
My best friend Fernando is a fighter and will get through this with the help of his friends, family, and supporters. He has a long road ahead of him, but is still remaining optimistic during this process. We want Fernando to be in the best hands - and with your support and love, it will give him the chance to make a full recovery.
We appreciate all the well wishes and prayers for him through this difficult time. We would like to ask you for your support through Fernando’s recovery. No amount is too small. Anything you are able to give will help tremendously for his continued hospital stay and long-term rehabilitation. These funds will be going directly to Kristina and Clark Hodges the mother and step father of Fernando. We will keep everyone updated throughout the recovery process. Thank you, #TeamNando
