Fernandez Family Little Fighter

Hi, my name is Christina Fernandez, I'm fundraising for my daughters medical bills. I am a stay at home mom with my five year old son and four month old daughter. My husband is a Fire Fighter at our local town department and also works a side job to help with the ongoing medical bills. I lost my job due to COVID and with our daughter's consent medical condition makes it difficult to go back to work.

When my daughter was born she was healthy and happy. However, after two weeks and many visits

to the on call pediatricians we were sadly informed that she was diagnosed with a hemangioma. He told us no one in our state can provide the proper care she will be needing. He referred us to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in South Carolina, which is over a 2 hour drive from home. We went the next day and were admitted to start her treatment. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of hemangioma that covered her whole lower right side of her body and was breaking down her skin in the most sensitive spots. Her ongoing treatment includes traveling to SC twice a month to see her doctors and adjust her medication as she grows. We are also undergoing genetic testing on myself and our son due to the severity of her condition. Which may or may not be covered by my husband's insurance.

We are asking for a little help on our ongoing medical bill and to keep providing the best care for our daughter. We thank everyone who took the time to read our story. Every little bit helps and we couldn't be more thankful for the help.
