RODRIGUEZ FAMILY

Meet Sofia (daughter of Fernanda Rodriguez a business office associate of Carson Honda), on Tuesday December 20th, 5 year old Sofia had just had her Christmas party and performance for her class. Her grandmother was there as usual to walk her home from school. They were on the last street crossing before they reached their home, when a truck ran a stop sign and struck them both. They are both in critical condition, and sustained a great deal of injuries. Sofia is unrecognizable with injuries all over her little body, and the grandmother (Fernanda’s mother) has had to have several surgeries in a matter of days. As a result of guarding her granddaughter she took the majority of the impact. Her body is weak from all the trauma and procedures she has had to go through. Sofia also went through a few procedures, from having a collapsed lung, and other internal injuries that have now caused her to need a blood transfusion. Sofia is more alert and in a better position than when she first arrived at the hospital, Fernanda’s mom is still in grave condition. Fernanda has been with Sonic for several years at WI Simonson MBZ and now Carson Honda and is always thoughtful and kind to everyone she meets. We ask that we return her kindness and help support her and her family through this difficult time. Fernanda was at work when she received the call, the most heartbreaking news that a mother/daughter could receive. All Fernanda asks is that you keep them in your prayers…but we would like to help with the medical bills that they will be facing and help to pay day to day bills as Fernanda will need to be off of work to care for her family for an unknown time.
