The new Feral Cat Solutions of Chapin Inc TNR Building is complete. FCS resumed TNR operations in August and the customized building is exceeding expectations for functionality and efficiency!
So, even at it's temporary home, FCS is now able to conduct more TNR operations, stabilize more colonies, and improve life for more feral cats and their human neighbors than in it's previous location.
Thank you for the support that has gotten the project this far!
Here are the remaining steps to FCS's relocation/facility development:
Step 1 (or Step 2):
The fourth and final building needs to be finished to serve two functions:
- a living space (including attached outdoor catio)
for the feral/semi-feral cats removed
from FCS-managed colonies for various reasons
- storage of supplies, etc. (in a separate room).
Step 2 (or Step 1):
A permanent location for FCS needs to be found!
1 to 3 acres with no restrictions within 15 miles of Chapin is needed to become the final FCS base of operations. Please contact Pat with any leads on possible land for sale/donation that might be what is needed.
Step 3:
Complete aquisition of the land for the permanent home of FCS and ready the site for the buildings.
Step 4:
Move the four structures, all equipment, supplies, cats, etc to FCS's new permanent location.
Funds are still needed to manage these final steps.
The closer total contributions come to the goal, the shorter TNR service interuptions will be as paid contractor work will be possible. Supporters who have already donated, please share and cross post and do whatever you can to reach new potential donors so that the final vision will become a reality for untold cats and the people who desperately want to help them!
