No Cat Left Behind
Tax deductible
Imagine spending the last years of your life in a cage in a shelter watching all of the kittens and younger cats find their forever homes. Day after day of very little attention, the same bad food and the noise of clangy cage doors. No fresh air, no windows to look out of.
Feral Care has always been about the forgotten cats- feral cats, stray cats, cats who aren't adopted because of bad potty habits or shyness or aggression issues. But there is one segment of the population that I don't want to leave behind- senior cats languishing in shelters.
The Whole Cat and Kaboodle, my store in Kirkland, is giving birth to a second location. We are adding in a cafe and a space for old kitties. Our goal will be to go around to area shelters and take in all of the cats over 15 years of age. Our vision is that these cats will be a part of the cafe. That instead of languishing in a shelter cage they will be keeping our guests company while they are enjoying their coffee. Their suite will be sunny and furnished with comfy chairs and beds. If they get adopted, then that is awesome, but if not, then they will live out their days with us.
Can you help us to raise money to open this new element of our rescue effort?
Feral Care is a 501c3 and donations are tax deductible. We are also a part of Charity Navigator and receive matching funds from Microsoft, Boeing, Alaska Airlines and many other companies.
