UPDATE : I continue to move through starting the development of a "cancer treatment plan" - the PET scan was completed 8-20 and this will tell me how far the cancer has metastasized into the body... I will get the results 8-28. I am scheduled to receive 5 days of radiation (Mon-Fri) with a day of chemotherapy in that week for 5 weeks and then 4 weeks of Bradytherapy.... after that will be another PET scan to determine if it was effective in reducing /removing the cancer.

For those new to my fundraiser, I am a 48 year old, mother of 2 daughters, who has been recently diagnosed with stage IVA cervical cancer (7-25-23) - Having a "wellness" insurance plan, my 5 day hospitalization was not covered nor any appointments since that time - I have been able to "make it work" through the donations from all of you.

I continue to try and work, but it is hard to manage my full-time job and start cancer treatment so ongoing donations are extremely appreciated!

Right now the current debt is:

$850 : ambulance bill

$45,402: hospital bill (I am applying for catastrophic charity care)

$1,682 : radiology bill (I am fighting duplicate charges and case is under review)

$577 : cancer specialty center for 2nd opinion

$675 per month : updated major medical insurance to cover radiology/chemotherapy

$330 per month : acupuncture treatment

$4,980 : cancer specialty center for PET scan and follow-up appointment for results

TOTAL Debt: $54,496 (to date, the donations cut this debt to $48,496- you can see there is still a lot of need for help!!!)

I refuse to limit my treatment based on the "prognosis" of the stage of this cancer.

Any assistance, even if just a prayer, will be greatly received as I am not ready to give up on this life.. I have future grandchildren to love!

Please - if you are a woman and reading this --GET A PAP SMEAR!!! This cancer is able to be detected early ONLY WITH MONITORING !!! Do NOT repeat this chapter in my life into your book....
