.  Thank you for taking a few minutes to read about my buddy, Fenway. I’m trying to move mountains to save him from a horrific death!  His full name is Fenway Stadium Ash. First let me start by telling you that Fenway is my best friend & has been for 5 years.  (He will turn 5 on May 25, 2019). If you had the honor of meeting him, I promise you would love him too. He is gentle, loving to anyone who pets him and loyal like no other friend, but best of all, he is the most loving, compassionate friend a human could ever wish for. He's my everything. And I know, I am his. When I'm sad, or my kids are sad or he sees anyone he senses is not happy enough to his liking, he will heal with kisses from his long tongue. He might even win some award for how long his tongue is (see photos, he's proud, so don't feel bad if you laugh). He has gotten me through the roughest times. I have chronic pain and have had some times like every other person on this earth, that has left me hurting and needing to heal, needing extra love and compassion and Fenway is the only being that has truly been there for me, carrying me through with his love. Please help me save him. He is worthy of the compassion he gives out to everyone else and I need your help to help him. I can't do this on my own and it feels terrible to not be able to help my best friend stop hurting when he's helped me stop hurting. You should know that Fenway is named Fenway Stadium (his middle name is Stadium) because he loves the Red Sox and has always wanted to go to Fenway Stadium, but St. Bernards aren't allowed, so he watches the games on TV with his humans and wags his tail every time we yell when the Red Sox makes a home run. He also loves to play catch and pretend he's playing St. Bernard baseball, he plays chase, find snacks in couch cushions,  crumbs on your shirt, he'll lick the left over ice cream off of any face, but most of all, he loves to sprawl out on the couch and wait for a belly rub. The problem is, he has Laryngeal Paralysis. His larynx nerves are not functioning properly, which makes it very hard for him to breathe. He needs an expensive surgery to open up his airway, otherwise, he could suffocate to death. I have to keep him very calm, he can no longer run or get excited, otherwise, he breathing is so labored, he struggles to breathe. So, his quality of life has gone down. He misses running, he misses his walks, he misses getting excited over RedSox games and ice cream cones. I'm doing anything and everything I can to help save him. My kids are planning bake sales, a lemonade stand, a snow cone stand. I don't know how much we'll raise, but I keep praying it's enough to save my Fenway. The hot weather makes his breathing even harder, so we want to get this done before it's too late. My 3 kids and I are going to do everything in our power to raise enough to help our Fenway and we are hoping you can help us. I can give you the name of the specialist Vet who will do the surgery and you can send them money for him directly, or put it here. For now, Fenway can't even wear a collar, he can't get excited at all, he has to stay very calm. So, he can't go to the fundraisers, but we will be updating with photos, videos and updates. Those of you who want to come visit Fenway, please do! Please see my FB page for my info too. If you can donate, please help, because this is a pricey surgery that I can't fund myself, no matter how much I keep staring at my bank account. Every time I look at Fenway, I tell him how hard I am trying to make his life easier and more enjoyable and long enough to live out the long life he deserves to live so he can watch more Red Sox games, eat more vanilla ice cream cones and lick as many faces as possible. If you can't donate, I understand, I know what it's like to struggle. But can you share this page so others might? Fenway thanks you and so does my family, who can't imagine life without him. The money we are trying to raise will go towards the surgery, which is estimated to be at around $3600, (UNDER UPDATES I HAVE EXPLAINED WHY I HAVE HIGHERED MY FUND ME GOAL DUE TO EXTRA ADDED COST I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT WHEN I STARTED THIS) plus antibiotics and pain meds after, a cooling pad which he needs now, and a raised feeder, which he also needs now. I will show receipts for everything.
