Hello friends and community,

After a long waited 2+ year process, I am due to get top surgery done this fall! (Yay!) This is very exciting and a great relief as this has been a very long waiting game of wait lists and calls that have been quite stressful to navigate on my own.

As some of you may know, I've been on a much needed mental health leave since April and have been lucky enough to have benefits until mid-October. Unfortunately, timing sucks and my surgery is expected to happen right after my employment insurance runs out.

As I will be looking around for jobs as I'm healing , I will not be able to properly bring my wee titless body back to work until 8+ weeks post op to heal as smoothly as possible. I am so lucky that MSP covers the cost of surgery, but there are plenty of other costs that I just cannot cover myself and don't have the extra money to save for in the months leading up to the operation.

Funds raised will be used for

- transport & accommodation in Vancouver (where the surgery is taking place)

- rent

- food

- other basic needs such as cat food and bills

- medical supplies needed for recovery

I understand this is a lot to ask for, I feel so blessed to be able to receive this care where elsewhere would be multitudes more. I love the trans community I've found here in "Vic" and hearing stories of others receiving their own gender-affirming care is a big reason why I felt empowered to figure out what I needed myself. Any donation big or small is so appreciated to make sure I don't rush the healing process whilst the t-rex arms find their mobility again.

Any funds left over will be passed on to a local trans supporting organization or anyone else in the community who needs help in their own gender affirming care.
